Kim Kardashian, known for her role as a co-parent to her four children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm, with ex-husband Kanye West, recently shared insights into how she navigates questions from her kids about their parents' divorce.

Drawing from her own childhood experiences when her parents, Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian, Sr., went through a divorce in 1991, Kim emphasized the importance of being open and making sure the children feel loved and heard during such challenging times.

Reflecting on her approach, Kim expressed the significance of sensitivity when discussing complex topics with her children. "Ultimately, what matters is that kids feel loved and heard," she stated in a recent GQ article published on November 14. She acknowledged the difficulty of the situation for children of any age and stressed the need to communicate at a level that they can comprehend. Kim emphasized the importance of maintaining a positive and vulnerable side while avoiding negativity.

Despite her efforts to shield her children from the more challenging aspects of the divorce, Kim admitted to allowing herself to experience a full range of emotions. She highlighted the importance of acknowledging and feeling these emotions, even if she has developed effective stress management skills. The divorce with Kanye West, finalized in 2022 after nearly seven years of marriage, prompted Kim to seek guidance from a therapist specializing in child psychology for parenting tips and advice.

"I do have a therapist that only deals in child psychology that I talk to to get parenting tips and advice," she explained. "Sometimes I feel challenged by parenting. But I have the best group of friends, and we talk about everything together, so that to me is therapy." Those close to Kim also noted a positive change in her demeanor following the divorce. Khloé Kardashian, her sister, observed a renewed self-assurance in Kim, acknowledging that she now recognizes her ability to navigate life on her own terms.

"Not that she wasn't confident before," Khloé remarked, "but it's a different assurance that she has in herself. She knows she can do it on her own. She knows the power that she has within herself, as opposed to thinking the power was in someone else's hands." Kim attributes her newfound strength and confidence to her faith, viewing every experience as a lesson that guides her to where she needs to be. She emphasized the idea that things happen as they are supposed to, leading individuals to their destined paths, even if it may not make sense at the time.
