Kim Kardashian and her daughter North West embraced the Halloween spirit by dressing up as the iconic Clueless characters Cher Horowitz and Dionne Davenport from the 1995 rom-com.
The 43-year-old reality star and her 10-year-old daughter recreated the famous BFF duo, complete with matching schoolgirl costumes, knee socks, and bags. Kim even rented a white Jeep Wrangler reminiscent of the one Cher and Dionne drove in the movie.
In a slideshow shared on Kim's Instagram, the mother-daughter pair could be seen posing in their Clueless-inspired outfits. Despite North being closer in age to the teenage characters, the duo nailed their looks, capturing the essence of Cher and Dionne. Kim donned a long blonde wig and perfectly channeled Cher's signature 'Ugh as if!' look from the film. The Halloween shoot, however, went against the guidelines set by SAG/AFTRA, urging members not to dress up as licensed TV or movie characters.
Clueless, directed by Amy Heckerling and inspired by Jane Austen's novel Emma, featured Alicia Silverstone, Stacey Dash, and other stars. The movie, made on a $12 million budget, grossed $56.6 million globally and earned critical acclaim, achieving an 81% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The Clueless legacy extended beyond the movie, leading to a sitcom spin-off starring some original cast members, which aired from 1996 to 1999. Additionally, an off-Broadway jukebox musical version of Clueless, starring Dove Cameron, ran from 2018 to 2019 at Manhattan's Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre.
Kim Kardashian, a mother of four, shares North with her ex-husband Kanye West, along with three younger children: Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. After their divorce, which was finalized in November 2022, Kim and Kanye settled on an 80/20 custody arrangement, with Kanye paying $200,000 per month in child support.
Currently, Kim is executive producing and starring in the fourth season of The Kardashians, a successful spin-off of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The show, airing on Hulu, received recognition at the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards, where it won the Best Docu-Reality Series category.
Kim Kardashian, who passed the 'baby bar' exam in 2021, had aimed to pass the California State Bar without formal education this year, although the clock is ticking with only two months left in the year.
