Kourtney Kardashian Barker Opens Up About Feeling "Pressure" from Sister Kim in Their Business Ventures

In the latest episode of "The Kardashians," Kourtney Kardashian Barker candidly discussed the feelings of "pressure" she has experienced due to comparisons between her business endeavors and those of her younger sister, Kim Kardashian.

As the second episode of the third season unfolded, Kardashian Barker prepared for the launch of her nutritional supplement line, Lemme. During preparations for a Wall Street Journal photo shoot tied to the launch, she revealed her anxieties stemming from Kim's scrutiny and comparisons of their businesses. Kardashian Barker expressed how the pressure from Kim, who has her own successful ventures, created a sense of uncertainty about her own business path.
"It was mostly the pressure, especially from Kim, like, 'What's your business? I have my thing, and I have my thing,' and then it's like, 'But what's yours?'" Kardashian Barker admitted. Growing up just 18 months apart, the sisters developed a competitive streak, which Kourtney acknowledged. However, she expressed that she has let go of that competitive dynamic, though she wonders if Kim has done the same.

Kardashian Barker's launch of Lemme took place in September 2022, following her previous brand, Poosh, which focused on lifestyle, health, and home content. Kim, on the other hand, has found success with her skincare line, SKKN by Kim, her shapewear brand, Skims, and her private equity firm, SKYY Partners.

Apart from the pressure she feels from her sister, Kardashian Barker also expressed concerns about how the public would perceive a brand associated with the Kardashian-Jenner family. Kourtney voiced worries about potential criticism of the packaging, pricing, and overall reception of her brand.
