Khloe Kardashian, known for her appearances on reality television, recently experienced a cancer scare that left her at her "lowest point since her father died," according to a close friend.

The 38-year-old reality star, who lost her father Robert to cancer in 2003, discovered a cancerous tumor on her cheek and underwent a procedure to have it removed, as documented on the latest episode of her family's reality series, 'The Kardashians,' streaming on Hulu.

During her recovery, Khloe was unable to eat solid food and had her mouth bandaged up, which deeply affected her friend, Malika Haqq, who broke down in tears while witnessing her discomfort. On a recent episode of 'The Kardashians,' Malika expressed her concerns, saying, "I don't like to see you uncomfortable. I need you to be okay. And that's what's the hardest for me. The hardest time to be friends with you was when your father passed, and I didn't know what to do. And I feel like I don't know what to do now. This feels like the closest thing to when your father passed."

Khloe Kardashian shares a five-year-old daughter named True with her ex-boyfriend, Tristan Thompson. The couple had split prior to welcoming their second child, Tatum, in July 2022. Their separation came after it was revealed that Tristan had fathered a child with another woman named Maralee Nicholls. Khloe was initially confused by her friend's comments and asked if she was referring to the drama surrounding "the baby." However, Malika clarified that she was referring to the emotional toll and challenges that come with being a single mother to two children, stating, "I don't think I've seen you this low. You need to deal with some of the traumatic stuff. Maybe just being a single mom to two. 'Cause that's a lot."

Reflecting on her cancer scare in a confessional, Khloe Kardashian acknowledged that the experience had become "way more serious" than she had initially anticipated. Waking up to find a large bandage on her face and stitches inside her mouth, she realized the gravity of the situation. She expressed, "It was way more serious than I either understood or anticipated it to be."
