Shanna Moakler has yet to meet Kourtney Kardashian, the wife of her ex-husband Travis Barker, who married the reality star in 2022.
Despite this, Moakler, 49, insists she remains deeply involved in her children's lives. In a revealing interview with People, Moakler disclosed that she has 'never' met Kourtney or Rocky, the son Barker, 48, shares with Kardashian, 45.

However, she shared that their children 'love' the seven-month-old baby boy. "They said that he's beautiful, and yeah, they're all happy. They're good. So that's all I care about," Moakler expressed. Addressing rumors of harboring resentment towards her ex and his new wife, Moakler clarified her feelings. "I think people think I was angry," she explained. "But I'm not angry. It wasn't anger. I think I get maybe frustrated, but I'm also from the East Coast and I swear a lot and I can be very direct sometimes. And I think some people take that as anger where I'm just very real where I'm like, 'F*** the family.'
I don't have to f***** like the family. And it's like, there's people that don't like it." Moakler, who was married to Barker from 2004 to 2008, shares son Landon, 20, and daughter Alabama, 18, with him. She also has a daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, 25, from her relationship with Oscar De La Hoya. Moakler vehemently denied accusations of being uninvolved in her children's lives. "People are like, 'Why do your kids live with Travis?' So I would gladly set the record straight," she asserted. "I have never not been involved in my children's lives. I've always had shared custody."

The COVID-19 pandemic, Moakler noted, was the only period when her children spent an extended time away from her. She explained that Barker's "mega-mansion" was a more suitable environment during the lockdowns. "During COVID, they stayed with him because he has a massive home and it's nicer," she said. "He has a mega-mansion. He has a movie theater, he has golf carts. He has all those things."
"I didn't have them as much because of COVID, when we were all in lockdown," she continued. "So that was the only time that I wasn't as present, but I've always been present in my children's lives. I never understand it because there's a whole social media history of me with my children, active in my children's lives." Emphasizing her dedication, Moakler stated, "I'm there for my children every day."

Moakler also recently discussed her ex-husband welcoming a child with Kardashian. During a recent appearance on SiriusXM’s Jeff Lewis Live, she expressed happiness for Barker and Kardashian but hinted at past issues regarding their parenting dynamics. "I'm happy for him, he's in a good place," she remarked, adding that her kids enjoyed spending time with their new little brother Rocky. "The kids love baby Rocky, my daughter is obsessed with him, she sends me cute pictures and stuff," she added.

When asked if she congratulated Travis after Rocky's birth, Moakler replied, "I did, yes," but admitted she did not send a baby gift to the couple. Despite this, she mentioned that she and Barker "get along" at the moment. "He's doing great, they're all great, but I don't know anything about their world," she concluded.
