Kylie Jenner is evoking Hollywood glamour in her latest social media posts, reminiscent of iconic bombshell Marilyn Monroe.
The 26-year-old shared two striking photos on Friday, showcasing a bright-blonde wig styled in ringlet curls. With brown lipliner, a pink lip, winged black eyeliner, and light blush, Kylie perfectly captured Monroe's timeless allure. Wearing a simple white tank top and no jewelry, the Kylie Cosmetics founder cheekily captioned the post, "Did someone say they missed king kylie." Fans enthusiastically responded, praising her transformation. "King kylie era was too iconic," one commented, while another exclaimed, "DONT PLAY WITH ME KYLIEEEEEEE."
Kylie also revisited her "King Kylie" era in an Instagram Story, featuring throwback photos of a younger, blonde Kylie posing with a cigarette, heavy black eye makeup, a lace black bra, thigh-high sheer tights, and a brown leather jacket. She wore a $66 light gray suede top with twisted straps and matching skin-tight pants priced at $76, completing the look with a low bun, coral blush, nude lip, and white flip-flops. She also introduced the set in vibrant fuchsia pink and fiery red. "Just dropped: new colorrrsss for the summa in our innovative sueded stretch fabric that perfectly molds to your body in all the right places AND feels like butter," she wrote on Instagram.
Kylie has embraced a more natural aesthetic, recently telling the New York Times she was "stripping down a little bit," forgoing long extensions and elaborate nails. Reflecting on the scrutiny she's faced, she said, "When you share so much, you open yourself up to more comments and more people’s opinions of your life. There’s nothing anyone could ever say now that would hurt me."
Speculation has linked her toned-down look to her relationship with Timothée Chalamet, but Kylie attributes her evolving style to becoming a mother to son Aire, 2, in 2022. "It takes me a while after I have a baby to feel like myself again," she explained. "Then you get your body back, and you're like, 'Wait, the trends have changed.'"
