During the June 15 episode of The Kardashians, tensions escalated as Kourtney Kardashian accused her sister, Kim Kardashian, of stealing her thunder. The emotional moment unfolded when the Poosh creator tearfully confronted Kim about her collaboration with renowned fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana for a runway show.

This collaboration came just months after Kourtney had worked with the Italian luxury label to design her dream wedding dress, adding an extra layer of complexity to the situation. Expressing her disappointment to sister Kendall Jenner during a heartfelt conversation, Kourtney, who married Travis Barker at the Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's Portofino villa in May 2022, lamented, "It's just legit copying my wedding. She wasn't happy at my wedding. Everyone else was like, 'Whoa, this is amazing. We're having the best time.' She could never give acknowledgement." Overwhelmed, Kourtney continued, "She sees everything that I had there and takes it for her own."

While Kourtney acknowledges that no one needs her permission to collaborate with Dolce & Gabbana, she felt hurt by Kim's decision to enter into the collaboration so soon after her wedding. For Kourtney, the timing of the high-profile project detracted from her special moment. She emphasized, "If I did it to Kim, she would freak out. To me, it was more personal. I think that's why it hurts my feelings."
Kim, on the other hand, denied any wrongdoing. In a confessional, the SKIMS mogul defended herself, stating she had been mindful of her older sister's feelings. She recalled explicitly telling Dolce & Gabbana, "Don't do anything that Kourtney wore to her wedding out of respect for Kourtney." Additionally, Kim revealed that she had even emailed the team, "begging them" to postpone the project for a year.

Kim acknowledged that everyone has their own perception of events, saying, "What I've realized in this lifetime is that everyone has their own truth of how they think something happened. It's all gonna come out on the show." The truth would soon unfold as the cameras captured Kim subtly throwing shade at the drama during a dinner with Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, and Corey Gamble before her highly anticipated fashion show in September. Raising her glass for a toast, Kim sarcastically said, "Cheers to Kim and Dolce & Gabbana—and to Kourtney." The awkward silence that followed prompted Kris to defuse the tension by labeling it an "inside joke." However, Kim couldn't resist adding, "To the diva of all divas."
