Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband Kanye West are proud parents to their four children: daughters Chicago (5) and North (9), and sons Saint (7) and Psalm (4). Recently, Kim opened up about her parenting style and the special way she celebrates her kids' birthdays.

During a conversation on the On Purpose with Jay Shetty podcast, the 42-year-old SKIMS founder discussed the challenges of being a mother and how she expresses her love for her children on their birthdays. When asked if being the best mom was the most difficult role to fulfill, Kim confidently replied, "Absolutely."

Kim revealed that every year on her kids' birthdays, she writes them a heartfelt four or five-page letter. These letters capture the essence of the past year, including details about their friends, funny words they say, their favorite foods, and memorable moments. She creates a little journey through the year, documenting all the silly and significant things that happened in their lives.

As her children grow older, Kim finds joy in looking back at these letters. With one of her children approaching the age of 10, she is amazed to see how much they've grown and changed. Kim believes that her children will appreciate these letters, even if they may have initially thought she was being strict or tough on them. She draws from her own experience with her mother and knows that her kids will eventually understand the depth of her love and the intentions behind her words.

On Mother's Day, Kim took to Instagram to share a humorous card she received from her daughter, Chicago. The fill-in-the-blank style card had various lines that Chicago had completed, revealing insights into her mother's life. One line stated, "My mom is 22 years old," and another mentioned, "Her favorite food is salad."

When asked about the best dish her mother cooks, Chicago playfully responded, "Mom doesn't cook. She has a chef." Kim couldn't resist playfully correcting her daughter's response. She posted a picture on her Instagram Story, showcasing her culinary skills as she prepared beeshee, a traditional Armenian pancake. Kim jokingly captioned the story, "Chi was wrong. I do cook. LOL."
