Landon Barker, son of Travis Barker, reportedly had no involvement in the controversial Diddy-themed baby oil gag that occurred at a birthday party he attended earlier this week.

According to sources close to the 21-year-old musician, he was unaware of the tasteless joke and had no participation in the party's questionable theme, which referenced the allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs. Landon's stepmother, Kourtney Kardashian, was reportedly "mortified" by the situation, but an insider who spoke to *People* clarified that both she and Landon were in the dark about the gag.

The celebration for Landon’s milestone birthday began with an intimate dinner at Nobu in Malibu, hosted by Kourtney and Travis Barker. After the family dinner, Landon and his friends headed to Harriet’s Rooftop Lounge in West Hollywood, where the controversy unfolded. At Harriet’s, servers distributed bottles of baby oil with flashing lights, which referenced the 1,000 bottles of baby oil allegedly found at Diddy's home when he was arrested on sex trafficking charges.

The unsettling scene was made worse by the DJ’s announcement, "We’re getting really freaky tonight. We’re getting Diddy freaky tonight," a remark that referenced the infamous "freak offs" Diddy allegedly hosted, where coerced sexual acts reportedly took place. Initially, a social media post falsely identified the event as Landon’s 21st birthday party, leading to confusion and backlash online. The post labeled the party as “Landon Barker’s 21st bday party,” adding, “bottles of baby oil, obviously a joke about the Diddy situation. I think it’s insensitive and gross.” This led many fans to criticize Landon, despite his lack of involvement. However, the insider emphasized that Landon had no knowledge of the party’s theme and was not responsible for the baby oil joke.

“The content that has surfaced from Wednesday night at Harriet’s Rooftop Lounge is from another individual’s birthday,” the source told *People*. They clarified that Landon attended the lounge with friends after his family dinner but was unaware of the planned joke. Neither Landon nor the venue's ownership knew about the theme in advance. The source stressed, “He did not participate in the baby oil service and refused to engage.” Landon has remained quiet about the controversy, opting to focus on his music career instead. He is preparing for his upcoming show at the Bourbon Room in West Hollywood on October 18.

He shared a black-and-white photo from a previous performance on his Instagram Stories, captioning it, “My last concert with @xposureworld in 7 days.” He has also been celebrating his 21st birthday in Las Vegas, as indicated by another Instagram post. Meanwhile, Diddy, 54, remains in federal custody facing serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. The rapper has pleaded "not guilty" to these charges, which also include accusations of blackmail, physical abuse, and arson. His trial is set to begin in May 2025, and if convicted, Diddy could face life in prison. For now, Landon Barker is distancing himself from the controversy, focusing on his music and avoiding further engagement with the scandal.
