Kourtney Kardashian has openly defended her decision to allow her children to co-sleep with her well into their late childhood, stating that it feels "natural and instinctual" for her.

During an appearance on the *Skinny Confidential's Him & Her* podcast, the 45-year-old *Poosh* founder shared that her 12-year-old daughter, Penelope, had slept in the same bed with her until she was 11. Kourtney, who is known for her candid approach to parenting, explained that her choices are deeply personal and based on what feels right for her and her children.

Kourtney shares Penelope, along with her two sons—Mason, 14, and Reign, 9—with her ex-partner Scott Disick. She also has a 10-month-old son, Rocky Thirteen, with her current husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. In the podcast interview with hosts Lauryn Evarts Bosstick and Michael Bosstick, Kourtney emphasized that every child is different and that her parenting style reflects this individuality. She shared how her oldest son, Mason, had also slept with her for several years but eventually grew out of it around the age of seven. Kourtney explained, "I would put him to bed in his room, and then he would come into my room during the night."

She described how Mason eventually made the transition to his own bed, saying, "He stopped and was like, 'I’m done with you. I sleep in my own room now.'" Kourtney then revealed that Penelope continued to co-sleep with her until the age of 11, a decision that has sparked conversations around parenting norms and boundaries. For Kourtney, this approach to parenting is about following her instincts and making choices that feel right for her family. Now, Kourtney’s youngest child, Rocky, also sleeps in the bed with her and Travis, as the family continues to bond in this intimate way. Reflecting on the challenges of balancing her career, parenting, and co-sleeping, Kourtney mentioned how her sleep schedule has been affected by the demands of their summer tour.

"I’m on the craziest hours right now because of our whole summer of touring, but I think one thing too is that we sleep with our baby," she said. Despite the unconventional schedule, Kourtney emphasized that co-sleeping allows her to stay connected with her youngest child, and it feels right to her as a mother. In the interview, Kourtney also praised Travis for being supportive of their co-sleeping arrangement, adding that alignment between parents is crucial for this kind of decision. "Both parents being aligned on that is really important," she said, noting that Travis "loves it too."

However, Kourtney hinted that her mother, Kris Jenner, holds a different opinion on the matter.  She joked, "She doesn’t have to worry about it, because it's not her baby and she's done having kids." Addressing how she and Travis maintain their relationship amid parenting demands, Kourtney quipped that they "figure it out" when it comes to finding private time for intimacy. She added with humor, "You just put locks on the theater door." Ultimately, Kourtney's candid reflections on co-sleeping reflect her belief in trusting one's instincts as a parent and doing what feels best for the family, regardless of societal expectations or criticism.
