The 43-year-old American socialite exuded confidence as she strutted through the streets in black leather knee-high boots, showcasing a stylish yet casual look. Kim turned heads in a plunging top that accentuated her curves, paired with long, tailored shorts and a plain belt that complemented her chic ensemble. The SKIMS founder, known for her frequent style changes, debuted a new hairstyle featuring blonde, luscious long extensions.

This appearance follows her recent social media posts in which she shared photos of herself wearing Janet Jackson's iconic 'If' outfit. Kim had purchased the ensemble for $25,000 at a 2021 auction and decided to don it to Jackson's concert in Palm Desert earlier this month. The reality star shared outtakes from the night on her Instagram, captioning the slideshow with lyrics from Jackson's hit song, 'That’s the way love goes.'

Joining Kim in some of the snapshots were her younger sister, Khloe Kardashian, 39, and their mother, Kris Jenner, 68. Kim bared her taut midriff in the black outfit, which included a cropped vest and matching suede, fringed trousers. The choice to wear such a historically significant outfit to the concert sparked controversy among social media users. Critics took to X (formerly Twitter) to voice their displeasure, with some accusing Kim of buying historical pieces merely for show. Others questioned why she had so many of the Jackson family's clothes, while a disgruntled user expressed concern about potential damage to the garments, referencing the incident with Marilyn Monroe’s dress at the 2022 Met Gala.

However, the owner of Monroe’s dress stated that Kim did not damage the garment. Despite the backlash, Janet Jackson herself approved of Kim's acquisition of the outfit. When Kim announced her purchase on social media in May 2021, she posted a photo of Janet in the 'If' video, expressing her admiration for the singer. Janet responded warmly, thanking Kim and wishing her as much joy from the outfit as she had experienced.
