This look is reminiscent of the futuristic costumes worn by Chalamet and his co-stars in the blockbuster sci-fi film "Dune 2." "Dune 2," directed by Denis Villeneuve, is the highest-grossing film of 2024 and stars Chalamet as the supreme warrior Paul Atreides. One fan commented, "Kylie in her Dune era...," receiving over 600 likes. Another wrote, "It's giving Dune [heart-eyes emoji]."
The minimalist, warrior-like aesthetic, known as "dune-core," has grown in popularity since the film's release on March 1. Chalamet, Zendaya, and Florence Pugh have highlighted the trend with their red-carpet appearances. Kylie's sand-toned dress, featuring flattering ruching, a halter neckline, and an attached hood, embodies the "dune-core" style, which contrasts with her usual sexy outfits.
Kylie and Timothee's romance reportedly began in January 2023 after meeting at a Paris Fashion Week event, shortly after Kylie split from Travis Scott, with whom she shares two children: Stormi, five, and Aire, two. The couple confirmed their relationship in September 2023 with a public kiss at a Beyoncé concert in LA.
