Taking to Instagram on December 5, 2023, she shared a series of makeup-free selfies to promote the new line, featuring herself in various poses, hands under her chin, and hair slicked back in a completely nude photo. In these images, Kim radiates a dewy and fresh complexion, showcasing the results of her newly launched Skims skincare products. The socialite, eager to promote her beauty line, captioned the photos with enthusiasm: "@skkn for the win."

However, despite the apparent excitement surrounding the skincare launch, eagle-eyed fans couldn't help but notice peculiar details in the campaign photos. Social media platforms, particularly Reddit, became a hub for discussions about Kim's skincare promotion. One Reddit user uploaded a campaign photo with the title: "This is a friendly reminder that you don’t need to buy all these celebrity skincare brands." Others chimed in, suggesting that the photos might have been edited to enhance Kim's appearance, despite the attempt to maintain a natural look. One user remarked, "Her nose looks botched and uneven, and her skin looks dry af. Her hands show her age."

There were even comparisons drawn to Kris Jenner's appearance, with comments like, "she is starting to have Kris’ Collapsed nose." Criticism extended to the editing of Kim's cheeks around her nose, with another user adding, "The editing of her cheeks around the nose makes it look like her cheeks are going to swallow her nose."

It's worth noting that this isn't the first time the Kardashian-Jenner family has faced scrutiny over their appearances. In November, Khloe Kardashian was targeted for her 'overflamed and inflamed' look during an episode of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians." Kim herself faced criticism for her appearance at Victoria Beckham's fashion show afterparty, particularly for her 'abnormal' lips, which she left lipstick-free. As fans continue to dissect the details of Kim Kardashian's skincare campaign, it remains to be seen how this latest development will impact the reception of Skims skincare products in the beauty market.
