One of the most surprising moments was Kanye's debut musical collaboration with his daughter North West, who, at the age of 10, showcased her rapping skills.

Kanye West, known for stirring controversy, made headlines once again during the listening event for his joint album with Ty Dolla $ign, titled "Vultures." The event took place at Miami's Wynwood Marketplace and was livestreamed online. The Chicago rap icon raised eyebrows by appearing on stage in a black KKK mask towards the end of the performance. This hood, reminiscent of the one worn by the Ku Klux Klan, had previously featured in his 2013 "Black Skinhead" music video from the album "Yeezus." This latest stunt adds to Kanye's history of racially provocative actions, including wearing a White Lives Matter shirt in 2022 and making antisemitic comments.

"Vultures," the collaborative project, has also faced criticism for allegedly antisemitic lyrics in the single of the same name. In particular, the line "How I’m antisemitic? I just fd a Jewish b" has drawn condemnation from Jewish groups. The event featured notable guests such as Offset, Lil Durk, Chris Brown, Kodak Black, Freddie Gibbs, and Kanye's 10-year-old daughter, North West. Playboi Carti was expected but was reportedly running late.

During the event, Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign premiered several tracks from "Vultures," including collaborations with Nicki Minaj ("New Body"), Lil Baby and Charlie Wilson ("Everybody," sampling the Backstreet Boys), Young Thug ("River"), Freddie Gibbs ("Back to Me"), and Kodak Black and Bad Bunny. The song also featured vocals from James Blake, with whom Kanye is reportedly working on a separate album. The livestream faced technical difficulties, with connection and sound issues, and Kanye played the album through an aux cord connected to his phone.

Following the event, a countdown appeared on Kanye's Yeezy website, hinting at a potential release time for the album, scheduled to end on the same day as the event. This Wynwood Marketplace event followed a spontaneous listening party in a Jamaican restaurant in Miami, where Kanye played additional unreleased material from "Vultures," including a track featuring Future and a shoutout to the incarcerated Young Thug and his YSL collective.
