Martha Stewart, a prominent businesswoman, spent five months behind bars in 2004 after being caught in a stock market lie, as reported by The New York Times. On a more serious note, music mogul Suge Knight is currently serving a 28-year sentence for his involvement in a fatal hit-and-run incident, as stated by CNN. Knight pleaded no contest to manslaughter.

But what does life in prison truly look like? According to Stewart, it is far from pleasant. At a Daily Mail event, she shared her experience, revealing that some of the food served was expired, with dates from years prior. "If it was 2001, the food was expired in 1999... you would not want to eat that food," she disclosed. Stewart even resorted to making jam out of crab apples to alleviate the unappetizing meals.

Conversely, several popular figures have been arrested for minor crimes that did not result in jail time. Musicians like Billie Joe Armstrong, the frontman of Green Day, faced apprehension for public indecency in 1995 after exposing himself to the audience during a show, according to MTV. Similarly, Kanye West was booked for vandalism when he was accused of smashing a paparazzi's camera, as reported by TMZ. However, she failed to complete an alcohol education course as part of her punishment, as detailed by E! News. Consequently, the Good American co-founder was sentenced to 30 days in jail, an event that prompted Kris Jenner's memorable quote, "Kim, would you stop taking pictures of yourself? Your sister is going to jail." The family accompanied Khloé to a facility in Lynwood, California, and for Kris, it evoked memories of the O.J. Simpson trial, during which her late husband, Robert Kardashian, served as a defense attorney. Kris described it as one of the most challenging experiences of her life during a confessional on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."

Interestingly, Khloé only served three hours of her 30-day sentence. TMZ reported that her brief time in jail was not without difficulties. According to an unnamed source, she allegedly experienced solitary confinement, a prison lockdown, lack of a clothing change, and cold conditions. Khloé reflected on her time behind bars during an episode of "KUWTK," emphasizing that it was a challenging experience. "Being in there for 30 days, I would have died," she admitted.
