In early April, the announcement of the 12th season of Ryan Murphy's anthology series American Horror Story came with a surprising twist: Kim Kardashian is set to star in the upcoming season, officially titled Delicate.

This news has left fans wondering what her role in the series could be, especially since the reality star has no previous acting experience. However, according to Kardashian herself, she is taking the role seriously and preparing for it by taking acting lessons.

Delicate is partially based on the forthcoming thriller novel called Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine, which follows a woman who believes a sinister figure is trying to prevent her from getting pregnant. While Kardashian's character and the plot details of the series remain unknown, she will star opposite Emma Roberts, a regular on the show.

In an interview with Variety at the 2023 Met Gala red carpet, Kardashian expressed her excitement about the role and her willingness to try new things. She stated that production for her scenes will begin at the end of the month, and while she admitted that acting is a challenge, she enjoys pushing herself out of her comfort zone.

It's not just acting lessons that Kardashian has been focusing on, as she is also studying law. Nonetheless, the business mogul's ambition and drive have impressed Ryan Murphy, the creator of American Horror Story, who said in a statement, "Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world, and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family." However, not everyone was happy with her casting, as actresses Sharon Stone and Patti LuPone expressed their disappointment with the news.

Kardashian will join other new cast members Cara Delevingne, Matt Czuchry, Annabelle Dexter-Jones, and Odessa A’zion, alongside Murphy favorite Michaela Jaé Rodriguez. Delicate is set to premiere sometime this summer, leaving Kardashian with a short amount of time to prepare for her role. Despite the challenges ahead, the Skims founder is excited about the experience and eager to make her acting debut in the iconic horror series.
