Khloe Kardashian stood up for BFF Malaika Haqq's after split with O.T. Genasis

In the Sept. 17 episode of ‘KUWTK,’ Malika Haqq revealed the reason for splitting with O.T. Genasis for the first time and it was quite emotional.

Malika Haqq, 37, who once used to be Khloe Kardashian's personal assistant is now pregnant and single on season 19 of the famous reality show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." The show has returned back after a break due to COVID-19  on Sept. 17 where you can see Khloe, 36, and Malika's twin sister, Khadijah Haqq helping her for baby shopping. However, Malika got emotional thinking about what it would feel like to have O.T. Genasis by her side while making decisions for the baby.

“I never envisioned that I would have a child and be single,” Malika said. “I always thought that my baby would be made in love and maybe eventually I’d be married or at least living together. So doing all of this nursery shopping and all this stuff is great to do with Khadijah and Khloe, but ultimately….that’s not the way I wanted this to happen.”

In the beginning, Malika kept the identity of her son Ace's father a secret but once the video clip of the baby shower came out in February, it was out in the public that the father of her baby is her ex, rapper O.T. Genasis. She opened up about the struggles with her ex in the episodes of  KUWTK.

“Me and my son’s father actually dated for two and a half years, but we were just in two different places in our lives and I decided that it was better for me to not stay in the relationship because it was getting harder and harder,” she confessed. “But we’ve agreed to co-parent and bring our son into a loving environment, and that’s the most important thing.”

The former couple came to a mutual agreement but O.T. wasn't around during the preparation phase of their son's birth. Koko was helping Malika set up her new home and their conversation when they were moving on the nursery. “I want to do it sooner rather than later, but when I just talked to my son’s father, he goes….we have time for that,” she said. “That’s his answer for everything. I’m like, ‘Good to know you’re not going to be of any help.'”

It was revealed in between their conversation that they would co-parent, nut her BFF Khloe wasn't convinced with that. “He can say anything,” she told. “It doesn’t mean he’s going to do it. And then you’re going to be responsible for that.” Koko added, “I love O.T. and everything he’s saying, but Malika doesn’t need words right now. Her due date is right around the corner. I would love for Malika to have a sense of security.”

As the duo continue planning for baby shower Malika got emotional and wasn't enjoying the process at all. Malika was literally sobbing! “I know Malika bursting into tears has nothing to do with Khadijah and myself,” Khloe admitted. “We can imagine it has something to do with O.T. — something that’s deeper than us. I definitely empathize with her. I want her to feel reassured that we’re there.”

But it was a happy ending as O.T. showed up in the baby shower and Malika was so happy. She even mentioned him in the speech. “I know co-parenting is a really long journey,” Khloe said regarding her situation “There’s going to be ups and downs. I love that O.T. came today. I know that makes Malika feel really good about everything. All she really wants anyone to do is be exciting — there’s a baby, an angel, coming into the world!”
