Kanye West had to exchange wad of bills to make his last-minute effort to make the presidential ballot in his home state work.

The "Life Of Pablo" hitmaker Kanye West, 43, seemingly had to make a last-minute effort as he was nearing the deadline which was before 5 pm on Monday. As Kanye had been dealing with his bipolar episodes since his tearful speech at the presidential rally and the strings of tweet following afterward, he had a lot on his plate.

A source close to the TMZ, told them exclusively that " Kanye's campaign team hired a third-party vendor called Let The Voters Decide to collect the 2,500 signatures to make the ballot in Illinois".  TMZ was told that 'the group got to work right away, deploying 45 people who hit the streets in various parts of the state and racked up enough signatures all in 24 hours and said they were paid handsomely for their efforts. Kanye dished out $10-12 per signature, and they produced 3,178 signatures.' Now, calculating the total sum, it's over $30k!

Kenny Mister, on of the signature collector told TMZ that "He got hit up Sunday to petition for Kanye, he was in Detroit, but got to Springfield, IL by Monday, and worked for 3 hours and collected 56 signatures at 10 bucks a pop." Kenny said to them that he went door to door, asking people if they would support Kanye getting on the ballot, but he wasn't forcing them as he added that it didn't mean they had to vote for him.

In case you are wondering if $10 per signature is a lot then you are correct. Rickey Hendon, a former Illinois State Senator and now working as a campaign consultant informs TMZ that the standard rate is close to $1-3 per signature. Ricky also said TMZ that Kanye approached him before Let the Voters Decide but he declined.
