West is currently in the midst of promoting his *Vultures* trilogy, a collaborative project with fellow rapper Ty Dolla Sign. The project, however, has not been well received critically. The second album in the series, *Vultures II*, dropped unexpectedly on August 3 but faced harsh reviews from critics. The third album, *Vultures III*, has yet to receive an official release date. The upcoming listening party, scheduled for September 15 in Haikou, China, is the latest stop on West’s tour for the *Vultures* project. Despite the lukewarm reception to the music, West continues to push forward with the rollout, determined to garner attention for the ambitious three-album venture.
This trip comes shortly after West's controversial performance in South Korea on August 23, where he took a jab at Adidas, the brand that once partnered with him to produce his Yeezy footwear line. During the show, he paused to give a shout-out to fellow rapper Drake before performing his 2007 track "I Wonder." Later, he incited the crowd to join him in chanting “f**k Adidas” before launching into another hit, "Can't Tell Me Nothing." West’s relationship with Adidas has been rocky ever since the sportswear giant terminated their partnership in 2022 following a series of controversial public incidents.
