Kim was spotted wearing a beige Skims ensemble consisting of a long-sleeved turtleneck dress that fell just below her knees, paired with matching pointy-toe heels that doubled as tights. However, the outfit, which was intended to showcase her brand's latest look, left some viewers unimpressed.

Critics were quick to voice their opinions on social media and in the comments section of DailyMail.com. Many focused on the outfit's "granny" vibe, particularly criticizing the stockings that were part of the shoe-legging combination. One commenter remarked, "She actually looks older than her mother," while another added, "She is getting paid to wear the shoe/boot/legging combination that looks like granny stockings." Some even likened Kim’s designer ERL shearling mini bag, priced at $1,290, to a "fuzzy bath rug."

The critiques didn’t stop there. Another person commented that Kim's outfit made her look like a "housecleaner," and others pointed out that the visible nylon hem of her dress was unflattering. These remarks contributed to the narrative that Kim's fashion choice may not have been as well-received as she had hoped. Despite the negative feedback, Kim did have her defenders. Some fans took to the comments to support her, arguing that the comparison to her mother was unfair.  One person wrote, "I'm not a Kardashian fan, but she clearly doesn't look older than her mother, does she? Let's be honest."

This defense highlights the subjective nature of fashion and the different perspectives people have on style. Kim’s appearance in New York wasn't just for show. The multi-hyphenate was in the city to engage in prison reform work at the Department of Justice, followed by a visit to her SKIMS store. Her dark locks, styled in loose, sultry curls by her go-to hairstylist Chris Appleton, and her meticulously applied makeup contributed to her typically glamorous look.  As she made her way through the city, Kim graciously stopped to sign autographs for excited fans who were eager to catch a glimpse of the global superstar.

The momager recently posted a series of photos on Instagram promoting the fitness brand Alo, and fans were stunned by her youthful looks. Comments ranged from "Aging backwards. Slay natural queen," to "Thought she was Milly Bobby Brown for a sec," highlighting the admiration many have for Kris’s appearance. The contrasting reactions to Kim and Kris’s recent public appearances underscore the scrutiny that celebrities, particularly women, face regarding their looks and fashion choices. While Kim's outfit may have drawn some criticism, it also sparked a conversation about style, aging, and the pressures of public perception.
