As Kourtney prepared for this year's Emmy Awards with her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, she reminisced about her previous appearance at the event. "I went to the Emmys 15 years ago, and the look was very different," she recalled.
Joking about her 2009 attire, she said, "I just wore this random gray—I don't even know the designer, I don't even know where I got it or how I even got dressed." The outfit in question was a long, strapless gray chiffon dress with ruching near the bust. At the time, Kourtney was pregnant with her first child, Mason, now 14. Her 2009 look featured long, loose curls and a chunky silver bangle. During the episode, she shared a photo from the red carpet, where she posed with her sister Kim. They FaceTimed and joked about their fashion choices from that era.

Kourtney attended the 2009 Emmys as Kim's plus-one, invited by Ryan Seacrest. She recalled, "It was like a dark gray dress with this ugly bangle," while Kim remembered her own outfit and getting ready in Kourtney's Calabasas condo. This year, Kourtney opted for a chic black pantsuit with satin detailing, while Barker wore a matching suit. It was one of their first public appearances since the birth of their son, Rocky Thirteen Barker, on November 1.

Kourtney has been open about her fertility journey, revealing they stopped IVF treatments two months before their wedding. She shared on a previous season of *The Kardashians*, "We decided to put it in God's hands and thought it was just not happening. We were accepting of it and then... God's plan." Kourtney conceived naturally on Valentine's Day but faced complications, requiring emergency fetal surgery in her third trimester due to fluid in Rocky's lungs. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and she expressed her gratitude during the show, saying, "It's super rare, but it's also super rare and lucky that we caught it. Thank you, God, for this successful surgery. I'm honestly just so grateful, I have no words."
