The glamorous life of Kim Kardashian took a grisly turn in the penultimate episode of Season 5 on Hulu's "The Kardashians." The 43-year-old reality star revealed that she sliced off the top part of her left middle finger in a bizarre bathroom accident. Kim was seen entering a high-end medical office with two fingers on her left hand bandaged up.

After joking about her ongoing feud with her sister Kourtney, a producer asked, "What happened to your fingers?" Kim, while walking, explained, "My big sliding bathroom door opens to reveal the entire window in my bathroom. I was closing it, but there was no latch, so I had to pull the inside mechanics out. I used my index and middle fingers on my left hand to pull the door."

She continued, "Usually, I stop it with my hand, but I pulled it really hard. Then Saint ran in with chips, and I yelled, 'It's 8:30 at night! No chips!' And then, boom! I looked at my hand and fell to the ground." A title card warned viewers about graphic images before showing a photo of Kim's left hand with the top of her middle finger cut off, bloodied, and bruised. Kim added in a confessional, "I grabbed the table and got on my knees because I saw all this blood, and my bone was sticking out a little bit. I was like, 'Get me help! I need ice!'" She was seen going into a luxurious medical office, explaining in a confessional, "I didn't scream or anything. I just said, 'Help.'"

She told the receptionist, "Two of them, yeah, they're both broken," and continued in her confessional, "I literally couldn't do anything but freeze. You can't even describe the pain; your whole body goes into shock. It was more painful than childbirth." Kim explained to the receptionist, "The tip broke off, so it's like a floating piece," as they showed the X-ray image of a floating piece of bone in her finger. She recalled the doctor saying, "It's a possibility your nail will never grow back," to which she replied, "Come on. I'm going to invent a nail implant." A close-up of her middle finger showed a small splint on it as a producer asked, "Is hyperbaric helping?" Kim responded, "I think so. I did four hours yesterday, but who has time?" They showed a flashback of her getting into a hyperbaric chamber.
She showed a gruesome photo to the employee, who suggested, "Can we go to 2.4? That's the higher pressure." Kim agreed and climbed inside the hyperbaric chamber, putting on an oxygen mask before it flashed back to Kim seeing the doctor. The doctor removed the splint, revealing the finger with the top completely cut off and dried, blackened blood around it. "That looks great!" exclaimed plastic surgeon Dr. John Layke, to which a shocked Kim responded, "You think that looks great?" He explained, "A lot of that is just a little bit of dried blood and some oozing." When Kim asked if it would hurt, Dr. Layke assured her, "No, not at all. That's the good part about peroxide," as he cleaned up the finger.

Kim expressed her concern, "I just want to be sure that I will not need this amputated," and Dr. Layke confirmed, "You will not, 100%." Kim breathed a sigh of relief and joked, "You know what came to mind?" She pulled up a photo from her phone - a poster from the 2004 horror sequel Saw II featuring two gruesome severed fingers. Dr. Layke responded, "That's so great. Listen, I think you dodged a bullet. It could have been really bad," as he wrapped both her index and middle fingers together. Kim left the doctor's office, insisting, "I'm not gonna be slowed down. I would give you the middle finger, but I don't have one."

The episode began with Khloe visiting Kris at her house, where she was relaxing on the couch in her red pajamas. Khloe explained in a confessional, "I am visiting my mom today. She's recovering from her procedure, just to make sure she's good and in high spirits." Kris told Khloe and Corey Gamble, "I had a nurse come over today and tell me that I could either have my pain pill or a martini." Khloe responded, "I know which one you picked. That martini is wild," as Kris laughed and said, "I know." Scott Disick arrived with a gift and asked Kris, "How are you feeling?" Kris replied, "I'm feeling good," as he gave her a kiss on the cheek. In a confessional, Kris shared, "I'm done with my surgery and I feel great. I'm a bit swollen, I'm a bit sore, but good."

Kris announced to everyone in her living room, "I just got a call this afternoon that said the little tumor was benign." Corey asked, "Why didn't you tell me? Nice to hear, glad it came." Kris continued, "So I'm just gonna take the next couple days and try and really chill," as Scott asked, "So how much longer are you gonna have to recover?" Kris responded, "What did they say? I can work out in two weeks?" Corey added, "We can't hook up for like two weeks," to which Khloe said, "Corey remembered that." Scott commented, "Like relations? I love that you remembered that. I guess we know what you like," as Khloe added, "Ew," and Scott said, "That is crazy."
Khloe pondered in confession, "Am I the only one that has these high thoughts? I'm not even high." She then continued in the living room, "And, let's just say Eve was the first one to get pregnant, you think Adam was OK with that?" This confused Kris, who only responded, "What?" Corey added, "You never know," as Khloe continued, "But if they killed the woman and the baby, there would not be people to procreate. Why were we just like, wow, her vagina can spread 10 centimeters and a human comes out? No one thought that was a witch and killed her? Come on, guys, think about it." A confused Kris said, "OK..." and added in confession, "I think maybe my meds have started to kick in because I don't know what the f**k these people are talking about."

Kim said in confession, "Imagine you're like, gun to your head, getting tied up, dragged across a hotel room, and the guy, I remember him telling me, 'Stay calm and you'll live,' and I did that, and it served me well at that time. But I think I've let it get too calm to where people could take advantage of my calmness or I'm just turning into a full robot with no emotion." Kim then admitted to Khloe, "But let me tell you something… Kourtney was right," which caused Khloe to widen her eyes. Kim explained, "I was just like, 'Oh my God,' because she was like, 'Why do you work so much? Why do you do this?' and I looked at her like, 'Are you Kourtney?'"
