Just days after it was announced that Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry would be joining the cast of Kim Kardashian's new Hulu series All's Fair, Berry has swiftly exited the show.
This sudden departure comes as a surprise, given the excitement generated by her involvement alongside Glenn Close and Kardashian in this highly anticipated project. Last week, reports surfaced that Berry, 57, and Close, 77, would star in the legal drama, which marks a significant role for Kardashian, 43, as she continues to expand her career beyond reality television.

However, a new report from Variety reveals that Berry is stepping down from the project due to scheduling conflicts. This development is particularly notable as it would have been one of Berry's rare major TV roles, following her lead role in the CBS sci-fi series Extant, which ran for two seasons from 2014 to 2015.
At this time, it is unclear who will replace Berry in the series or what character she was set to portray. Berry was also slated to serve as an executive producer for All's Fair, though it remains uncertain if she will continue in this capacity now that she has withdrawn from her acting role. The latest season of The Kardashians on Hulu revealed that Ryan Murphy, the creator of American Horror Story, pitched the series to Kris Jenner after her appearance in AHS: Delicate. This intriguing backstory added an extra layer of anticipation for the new show, which was first announced in December as the inaugural series under Murphy's new overall deal with Disney.

All's Fair will follow Kim Kardashian as she takes on the role of a powerful divorce lawyer in Los Angeles, leading a successful all-female law firm. The series draws inspiration from Kardashian's own experiences, particularly her work with her actual lawyer, Laura Wasser, who represented her in high-profile divorce proceedings with Kanye West and Kris Humphries.

Kardashian, her mother and manager Kris Jenner, and Murphy will all serve as executive producers, alongside Baitz and Baken. Additionally, Jamie Pachino, Laura Greene, and Richard Levine will serve as writers and executive producers, while Close will also take on an executive producer role, joined by Alexis Martin Woodall, Eric Kovtun, and Scott Robertson.

Production for All's Fair is set to begin later this year. The series is one of five TV shows to receive a share of $58 million in California tax credits, highlighting its significance and expected impact. Filming is expected to take place over 97 days in California, with an additional 10 days of shooting outside of Los Angeles. Hulu plans to release All's Fair sometime in 2025, although a specific premiere date has not yet been announced. Despite Berry's unexpected exit, the series continues to generate buzz and anticipation, with fans eagerly awaiting further updates on the cast and production.
