On Monday, the 68-year-old reality TV star posted a tribute on Instagram to her longtime friend Shelli Azoff, sharing several photos of their four-decade-long friendship. In her caption, Kris gushed about Shelli, writing: "Happy Birthday to my amazing BFF Shelli! @shellibird1 ✨ We’ve shared so many incredible memories over the last four decades, and I’m so grateful for your friendship and the love, laughter, joy, support, fun, and the endless surprises you have brought to my life.

The post included throwback snaps and recent photos from glamorous events, some featuring Kris' daughters Kim Kardashian and Kylie Jenner. However, one picture, showing Kris and Shelli laughing in the sea, caught followers' attention for the wrong reasons.

In the photo, Kris wore a low-cut polka dot bikini, oversized sunglasses, and a wide-brimmed hat. Fans quickly speculated that the image had been edited, with one Reddit user posting, "Did Kris get a boob job... or just photoshop...?" Others agreed, criticizing the photo as poorly edited. Comments included: "That is some of the worst photoshop I’ve ever seen," "Everything looks photoshopped here," and "The FaceTune is so ridiculous."

Fans have frequently accused Kris and her daughters of over-editing their photos. Despite their billion-dollar Instagram empires, the Kardashians have admitted to using filters and editing apps to curate their images. Khloe Kardashian has openly discussed her love for filters, while Kim has shown herself staying up all night to edit photos on their reality show. Kylie Jenner has also admitted to using Facetune for selfies.
Last March, Khloe faced backlash for altering her body in photos, with visible signs of Photoshop. Previously, she blamed her glam team for another viral Photoshop fail. In July last year, Kylie, Khloe, and Kourtney Kardashian discussed beauty standards and the influence of photo editing on young girls during an episode of "The Kardashians." Kylie pointed out, "I just feel like we have huge influence and what are we doing with our power?" She acknowledged that while she has moved past excessive editing, it continues to instill insecurities in others.
