Kim Kardashian Joins Forces with Emma Roberts and I. Marlene King for New Netflix Series 'Calabasas'

Deadline's announcement on Saturday revealed that the 43-year-old multi-talented Kardashian, her "American Horror Story: Delicate" co-star, 33-year-old Roberts, and the seasoned "Pretty Little Liars" creator, 61-year-old King, are set to executive produce the series, with Alexandra Milchan ("Tár") joining the team.

Drawing inspiration from Via Bleidner's book "If You Lived Here You'd Be Famous By Now," King will adapt the script and serve as the showrunner for "Calabasas," which revolves around the story of a 16-year-old girl named Via, who moves from the Midwest to California and enrolls at Calabasas High.

The series is a nod to Kardashian's influence in elevating Calabasas' prominence through the long-running reality hit "Keeping Up With the Kardashians." "Calabasas" marks Kardashian's fourth major scripted project, underscoring her expanding presence in television and film. In addition to this venture, she is set to star in the Netflix comedy "Fifth Wheel," an unnamed thriller for Amazon, and a legal drama series for Hulu, all while continuing her collaboration streak with Ryan Murphy.

In a recent episode of "American Horror Story: Delicate," viewers witnessed a memorable on-screen kiss between Kardashian and Roberts. The scene depicted Kardashian's character, the sassy publicist Siobhan Corbyn, orchestrating an Oscars campaign for Roberts' character, actress Anna Victoria Alcott. Reflecting on the experience on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Roberts shared the behind-the-scenes hilarity of the scene, including the challenge of dealing with Kardashian's perfectly glossed lips.
