Despite boasting scenic views of the Pacific Ocean, the mansion, spanning over 4,000 square feet with four bedrooms and five bathrooms, lacks essential features like windows, walls, and a roof, and lacks electricity. West's attempts to remodel the property into what he referred to as a 'bomb shelter' faced obstacles, including a lawsuit from former project manager Tony Saxon, who raised concerns about safety issues.
Saxon alleges in his lawsuit that West's vision for the mansion involved removing windows, plumbing, and electricity, and replacing stairs with slides. He claims West fired him after he voiced concerns about the project's safety and refused to comply with West's demands.

The lawsuit, filed by West Coast Employment Lawyers, seeks over $1 million in unpaid wages and damages for labor code violations. Photos of the property show deteriorating conditions, with massive windows removed and metal railings rusting due to exposure to the elements.
West's Malibu mansion, once a project involving top contractors and extensive remodeling plans, now sits abandoned, with neighbors reporting no activity for months. West's public controversies, including anti-Semitic remarks, have contributed to a decline in his fortunes and business partnerships.
