Reality TV icon Kourtney Kardashian, 44, and her musician husband, Travis Barker, 47, have reportedly welcomed their first child together, a baby boy.

This joyous news comes after a challenging journey, with the couple enduring two years of attempts to conceive. Kourtney had undergone multiple rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF) treatments, which proved unsuccessful until she decided to halt all medical interventions late last year. Despite the setbacks, Kourtney believed that her natural pregnancy was part of a higher plan.
Kourtney's pregnancy was not without its scares. In September, she underwent a harrowing fetal surgery aimed at saving her unborn baby's life. The procedure, described as "terrifying" by Kourtney, required her husband Travis to rush back from his tour to be by her side. She later shared that the experience was deeply frightening, and while she planned to share more details eventually, she didn't feel ready yet.
This is the fourth child for Kourtney, who already has three children—Mason, 13, Penelope, 11, and Reign, eight—with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick. For Travis, this baby marks his third child, having two children—Landon, 20, and Alabama, 17—with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. He also considers Shanna's daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, 24, from her previous relationship with boxer Oscar De La Hoya, as his own.

The couple revealed their pregnancy to the public in mid-June during one of Travis's concerts. In a heartwarming nod to the band's iconic "All The Small Things" music video, Kourtney held up a sign that read: "Travis, I'm Pregnant." Travis, visibly moved, jumped down from the stage, and the couple shared a passionate kiss. The news was later confirmed on Kourtney's Instagram Story, where she shared a video of the surprise reveal.
Kourtney and Travis, who became romantically involved in late 2020 after a long friendship, made their relationship official in February 2021. They got engaged in October of the same year and tied the knot in a courthouse ceremony in Santa Barbara in May 2022. A week later, the couple held a lavish wedding at the Dolce & Gabbana mansion in Portofino, Italy, surrounded by their friends and family.
Kourtney's struggles with IVF were documented on Hulu's "The Kardashians." She openly discussed her IVF journey, revealing the challenges she faced. The treatments, she said, had put her into menopause and caused significant emotional and physical changes, including depression and weight gain. Despite the difficult experience, Kourtney persevered, ultimately deciding to take a break from the treatments to focus on her wedding and marriage, a decision that seems to have led to the couple's joyous announcement.
As the couple begins this new chapter in their lives, they are undoubtedly surrounded by love and support from their extended family and fans, celebrating the arrival of their long-awaited bundle of joy.
