Kourtney Kardashian, at 44 years old, recently broke her silence after a harrowing experience during her final trimester of pregnancy, which led to an "urgent fetal surgery" to save her unborn baby's life.
The reality star, who is said to be on the road to recovery, expressed her gratitude to the medical team and her husband, Travis Barker, in an Instagram post. She shared a touching black and white photo of herself and her 47-year-old musician husband holding hands on a hospital bed. In her heartfelt caption, Kourtney thanked her exceptional doctors for their role in saving her baby's life. She also expressed eternal gratitude to Travis, who rushed to her side from his European tour, providing unwavering support during and after her hospital stay. Kourtney extended her appreciation to her mother, Kris Jenner, for being there for her during this challenging time.
Kourtney went on to share her personal journey, explaining that as someone who had experienced three easy pregnancies in the past, she was unprepared for the fear and urgency of undergoing an unexpected fetal surgery. She acknowledged the profound fear and anxiety that mothers facing similar situations must endure. She concluded her message with a note of gratitude, emphasizing the blessing of leaving the hospital with her unborn baby safe and sound.
Travis Scott, the husband in question, had abruptly left his band Blink-182's European tour due to what he referred to as a "life-threatening emergency surgery for our baby." He expressed his gratitude for the support he received and announced that the tour would resume shortly. Following Kourtney's hospitalization, it was reported that she is now "feeling better" and has returned home. An insider revealed that she is back with her children and is happy to have Travis back home with her.
Kourtney and Travis were seen leaving the Los Angeles-area hospital together, and it appeared that she had not yet given birth, judging by the appearance of her baby bump. She walked unassisted and, along with her husband, was spotted departing in a black Range Rover.
Blink-182 also announced the postponement of their upcoming concerts in Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin due to Travis's family emergency. Travis himself posted cryptic pictures from the Glasgow Airport's prayer room as he rushed back to be with Kourtney. Notably, Travis Scott's ex-wife, Shanna Moakler, confirmed that their children, Landon and Alabama, are "safe and sound." Travis played a significant role in raising Shanna's daughter, Atiana De La Hoya, as well. In contrast, Kourtney Kardashian shares three children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign, with her former fiancé, Scott Disick, with whom she had an on-and-off relationship for nearly a decade.
