He credited his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, for her unwavering love and support, which played a pivotal role in his journey to overcome the fear and trauma associated with air travel.

For thirteen years following the crash, Travis, now 47, had steadfastly refused to board a plane due to the emotional scars left by the tragic incident. Thus, reaching the milestone of his thirtieth flight was a remarkable achievement, and he expressed his gratitude to Kourtney for being the driving force behind his healing process. In his post, Travis declared his love for her and acknowledged that he wouldn't be able to embrace life's joys or continue touring without her steadfast presence.

According to a source close to the couple, Kourtney had been gently encouraging Travis to conquer his fear of flying for several months. Travis and his close friend and collaborator, Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein, were the sole survivors. The accident occurred during takeoff when the passengers heard a loud bang, prompting the pilots to abort the flight. Tragically, the plane ran out of runway and crashed through the airport boundary fence, resulting in a fiery explosion.

Travis vividly recalls the horrifying experience of emerging from the wreckage covered in jet fuel, which caused him to catch fire. He spent eleven grueling weeks in the hospital, undergoing numerous surgeries to treat his extensive burns.
