In a surprising turn of events, Kylie Jenner and Jordyn Woods were seen reconciling over sushi in Los Angeles, marking the first time they have been pictured together in over four years since their well-publicized falling-out.

The rift between the once-close friends occurred when Woods and Tristan Thompson, who was romantically involved with Jenner's sister Khloe Kardashian at the time, shared a kiss at a party in Los Angeles on February 17, 2019. The incident, which happened during Thompson's relationship with Khloe, led to a split between Thompson and Kardashian, as well as the end of the long-standing friendship between Woods and Jenner. Over the years, both parties have shared details about their fallout through various platforms.

In a June 2019 episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Jenner revealed the tense conversations she had with Woods regarding the indiscretion. She described how Woods remained silent and tearful during their phone call and expressed her disappointment in Woods for not considering the impact on Khloe, their niece True, and herself. Following the fallout with Kylie and the Kardashian family, Woods turned to another prominent Hollywood family and appeared on Red Table Talk with Jada Pinkett Smith in March 2019. During the interview, Woods explained that the kiss with Thompson was a brief peck on the lips, devoid of passion or involvement of tongues.
She clarified that she never had any sexual relationship with Thompson and dismissed the idea of taking their connection any further. Woods also shared that she sought advice from Will Smith, who had worked with her late father on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, on how to navigate through the scandal. Smith, who had faced his own scandal after slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars, reassured Woods during a FaceTime call that the world tends to attack, but she had his support. According to Woods, no other romantic activities occurred between her and Thompson. She denied engaging in lap dances, making out, or sitting all over him, emphasizing that her interactions with Thompson were minimal. She acknowledged that the scandal had likely caused irreparable damage to her friendship with Jenner, stating that it had gone too far.

Woods claimed to have made numerous attempts to apologize to Kardashian, even offering to take a lie detector test to prove the extent of her minimal interactions with Thompson. However, Kardashian took to social media to dispute Woods' claims, stating that Woods never made a direct effort to privately contact her about the sensitive issue. Kardashian criticized Woods for going public with her side of the story without first reaching out to apologize privately. In a 2019 episode of KUWTK, Jenner expressed her belief that her falling-out with Woods was necessary for her personal growth, allowing her to embrace her strength and independence. She acknowledged that Woods had been her security blanket, someone she lived with and did everything together, but she realized that people come into our lives for certain reasons and times.
Since the fallout, Woods has been in a relationship with NBA star Karl-Anthony Towns since 2020. Meanwhile, Thompson's lack of faithfulness toward Kardashian resurfaced, leading to an on-again, off-again relationship, and ultimately a split, after he welcomed a son with fitness model Maralee Nichols during his time with the reality star.
