The ex-NBA star and Empire entertainer dated in 2009, just before Lamar sealed the deal with Khloé. "Taraji is a cool young lady. Matter of truth, she's here [in L.A.]. I got to see her at the BET Awards in June. So perhaps I'll have to shoot my chance at her once more," he said. "I think the distinction between Taraji and Khloe is the way they [were] raised. Their childhood, makes individuals unique and [affects] the manner in which they think. I think Taraji is more capable in what she does as an entertainer contrasted with what Khloé does." Lamar said that Khloé was "an extraordinary spouse."
Khloé and Lamar marry in August 2009 after one gathering. Their marriage was damaged by ups and downs in the accompanying seven years. In 2013, Lamar's substance misuse and asserted disloyalty drove Khloé to petition for legal separation. They split in 2013, and it would require three additional years for the separation to be settled. During that period, Lamar experienced a close lethal excess in a Nevada massage parlor.
