Dismissing it! Pete Davidson put a fun loving twist on his quarrel with Kanye West while performing at the Netflix Is a Joke celebration — and he tossed a little shade simultaneously.

Davidson, 28, made that big appearance at the Los Angeles occasion on Friday, April 29. In a clasp delivered by the streaming stage multi week after the fact, the Saturday Night Live star started by getting some information about their years.

"I've had a downright odd year," he jested. "I had an AIDS alarm this year. No doubt, I did. Furthermore, you're like, 'Pete, goodness. What's happening in your life? Is it safe to say that you are sharing needles, doing heroin? Are you having lots of unprotected ---?' No, Kanye let me know I had AIDS. Furthermore, he's a virtuoso, so I was like, 'Gracious, ----.'"

The King of Staten Island star was apparently alluding to a TMZ report from January that supposed that West, 44, was spreading tales about Davidson's wellbeing in the midst of his sentiment with Kim Kardashian. At that point, a rep for the Yeezy originator denied the "gibberish" story.

Davidson, nonetheless, kidded that he acknowledged the cases. "I was like, 'I better call my primary care physician. The person who made College Dropout thinks I have AIDS,'" the entertainer proceeded. "So … I really got checked, because I was like, 'Perhaps he's right, I don't have any idea.' My PCP let me know I don't have AIDS, I simply seem as though I have AIDS. It's something else entirely."


The Guy Code alum proceeded to make sense of why he tracked down West's claims "so entertaining," telling the group, "Helps is simply a particularly old school thing. … It resembles such a '90s, mid 2000s thing to [say]. John Mulaney called me, he was like, 'Helps? You ought to spread gossip that he has polio.'"


West has been at chances with Davidson since the Meet Cute star started dating Kardashian, 41, the previous fall. Recently, the Grammy victor shared a line of Instagram posts dissing the New York local and proclaiming he needed to get Kardashian back after she petitioned for legal separation in February 2021. The dramatization developed more genuine after West dropped the video for his melody "Eazy," which showed a vivified adaptation of the jokester being captured and truly hurt.


"Does any other individual furtively trust that, as, Kanye pulls a Mrs. Doubtfire?" the Set It Up entertainer said in front of an audience. "Like, [they] get back home one day and they're like, 'This is the new servant,' and he's like, 'What's up, fam?'"


As the crowd burst into giggling, Davidson admitted that his quarrel with West has been "a downright abnormal thing to go through" out in the open. "Individuals are attempting to offer you guidance, however even companions that are more seasoned, they're as, 'I don't have any idea,'" he said. "They're like, 'He looks pretty distraught, brother. Best of luck. Sorry. Here assuming that you really want.' But, similar to, no counsel. … People pose me bizarre inquiries, that is the main thing I could do without."
Notwithstanding the dramatization, Kardashian and Davidson's sentiment has been pressing onward. The couple made their honorary pathway debut at the White House Correspondents Dinner prior to going to the Met Gala together on Monday, May 2.
