The coronavirus pandemic has changed many things in the world, and the entertainment industry is no exception. This had changed the way KUWTK is filmed which has made the family even less relatable to fans.

Everyone including the infamous KarJenner family has stopped most of their business activities due to the global pandemic. And as the filming way of the series has been changed, it hasn't helped the Kardashian-Jenners very much as they are thought to be very less relatable to their viewers now. Their recent activities have made it crystal clear that is very much different from their viewers.

The KarJenners first found fame in 2007 when their show aired which showed the family drama just like any other family. The KarJenners obviously had more money and influence on other people in California, but what made them famous was their sibling dramas and romantic failures like everyone.

The family achieved even more popularity when they took their fans behind the scenes of their daily lives as world-famous celebrities. The show got fame when they strike the perfect balance between being relatable and being a “spectacle,” as said by The Atlantic. However, the pandemic has made it even more difficult for the family to maintain the balance.

One writer named Spencer Kornhaber has pointed out many backlashes that the family received during the pandemic. The most backlash they received is for breaking the social distancing rule amid the pandemic and having big gatherings. Kim Kardashian was heavily criticized for flying to a private island with her family in October to celebrate her 40th birthday.

As Spencer said, “Kim clearly believed that her family’s old formula still worked and that she could find a way to balance conscientiousness and abandon, just-like-youngest and not-at-all-like-youngest, with her party pictures. But the ensuing scorn shows that her calculation was off: The pandemic has been so deeply and universally disruptive that flaunting one’s escape from it triggers more disgust than fascination.”

Fans of the infamous family also noted that it has been difficult to embrace their behavior as so many people have been suffering because of COVID-19. “In late October, when about 220,000 Americans had died from the coronavirus and 11 million were unemployed, Kim spammed social media with photos of beach banquets and boat rides,” one person wrote. “How could anyone be interested in keeping up [with] this behavior? It’s deplorable.”
