Tristan's agent, the founder and CEO of Klutch Sports group, Rich Paul confirmed the news of his big move. After the news was confirmed, many friends of Tristan took it to Instagram to celebrate his milestone two-year deal, which he reposted back to his own Instagram story.

A source previously noted that Tristan was actually trying to be “closer” to Los Angeles because of his ex Khloe Kardashian, 36, and daughter True Thompson, 2, confirming that the other teams were also in the mix, which included the Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors. Co-parenting their daughter is a difficult task with Tristan being away in a different city having a different timezone which is why the couple had plenty of discussions before taking a final decision. “Who he signs with at the end of the day will be based on the discussions that he already has had with Khloe and what is right for both of them,” the source explained.

Following Khloe and Tristan's dramatic split in 2019, they appear to be in a better place in these recent months. The couple also spends most of their time together in quarantine while bonding with their daughter True. Tristan did anything to win Koko back, starting from spending quality family time and taking care of Khloe and True when she was tested positive for COVID-19. “I’m so thankful that Tristan’s been here to help me take care of True, and then he’ll make me some food and leave it outside my door,” Koko said on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

“Even though we’re not together, we’re just really good friends, and I’m really, really grateful for that,” she added. Despite co-parenting together, Tristan lately admitted that he wanted more. “I’ve grown to a point where I know what I want you in my life,” he said, revealing his true feelings. “Obviously we’re always going to be in each other’s lives because we have [our daughter], but I want more than that.”
