Kanye West has successfully got back into wife Kim Kardashian's good graces after nearly sinking their marriage to achieve his political ambitions.

A few months had been very hard for Kanye West, 43, and Kim Kardashian, 40, and it almost seemed like their marriage was going to be another casualty of 2020. The rapper went off on a Twitter rant where he accused wife Kim and mother-in-law, Kris Jenner, 64, of trying “lock him up.” Kim almost had to use her growing legal knowledge for her own divorce, but before anything got wrong the beauty mogul and Ye sorted out and are now in a good place. “Things have definitely improved between Kim and Kanye,” a source told HollywoodLife exclusively, also adding that “ their relationship hits highs and lows like any marriage.”

But how did the couple reach this point of peace, even after she was accused of cheating when she was doing nothing more than talking about “prison reform” with Meek Mill in 2018? “Kanye really stepped up for her birthday,” the source told HollywoodLife. The beauty mogul turned 40 on Oct. 21, and during the birthday festivities, Ye “showed [Kim] the Kanye she fell in love with from the start. It was really the push they needed to get back to where they’ve always been. They’re on really good terms right now, and they love each other.”

Ye really did his best for Kim’s 40th as he posted a throwback photo of Kim from his 2013 proposal. Kanye rented San Francisco’s AT&T Park for the proposal at an estimated $200,000. In the background played Lana Del Rey’s “Young and Beautiful,” and the Jumbotron read “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” “Been doing empty stadiums,” Kanye captioned the throwback. “Happy 40th birthday!!! I love you so much.”

But, that wasn't the only thing Kanye did for Kim on her birthday! Kanye got her a hologram message from her late father, Robert Kardashian. Robert, who died from esophageal cancer in 2003. “Happy birthday, Kimberly. Look at you, you’re 40 and all grown up. You look beautiful, just like when you were a little girl. I watch over you and your sisters and your brother and the kids every day. Sometimes I drop hints that I’m around,” the hologram said.

“Hologram from heaven,” Kim wrote over the video she shared with her fans on Instagram. “or my birthday, Kanye got me the most thoughtful gift of a lifetime. A special surprise from heaven. A hologram of my dad. It is so life-like, and we watched it over and over, filled with lots so tears and emotion. I can’t even describe what this meant to me and my sisters, my brother, my mom, and closest friends to experience together. Thank you so much, Kanye, for this memory that will last a lifetime.”
