Kim Kardashian surprised her ‘inner closest circle’ with a tropical vacation for her 40th birthday and now it has started a meme trend relating to LOST, RHONY, and many more.

The beauty mogul, Kim Kardashian, 40, unintentionally fueled a new meme trend after she surprised her close friends and family with a trip to a private island for her 40th birthday on Oct. 27. The way in which the reality star announced this surprise couldn't stop her fans from making comparisons to movies, shows, and other pop culture references in which a group of people was seen taken to an island as a surprise after the anticipation.

“After 2 weeks of multiple health screens and asking everyone to quarantine, I surprised my closest inner circle with a trip to a private island where we could pretend things were normal just for a brief moment in time,” Kim wrote on the Oct. 27 post of Instagram. Fans stole her caption and traded the photos of Kourtney Kardashian, Rob Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kendall Jenner, and more family and friends with the photos of the “Spooky Island” amusement park from Scooby-Doo, the “Scary Island” episode from The Real Housewives of New York City, and the airplane crash scene in Lost.

Among them, there were numerous references to Shutter Island, which is a 2010 thriller in which Leonardo DiCaprio plays the role of conducting an investigation on an eerie island. But the best meme went to the digital director of Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, which showed the photo of Joe's island on Animal Crossing.

All of the memes weren't about islands though. Fans took the joke to the next level by alluding the “surprise” to a hilarious scary twist. They shared the screenshots of scenes from I Still Know What You Did Last Summer which featured Brandy and Jennifer Love Hewitt and even the Japanese horror movie Battle Royale.

There were numerous endless memes. Other tweets about the island memes included shout-outs to Fyre Festival, which was a poorly planned music festival on a remote Bahamas island. It ended as a disaster in 2017.

Kim revealed that she had an amazing time with her family and friends before she became the center of a new meme. “We danced, rode bikes, swam near whales, kayaked, watched a movie on the beach and so much more. I realize that for most people, this is something that is so far out of reach right now, so in moments like these, I am humbly reminded of how privileged my life is,” the beauty mogul wrote in her birthday Instagram post where she shared photos of her partying with her friends and family.

However, Kim is relaxed after the trip and is looking forward to getting back to work as she enters a new decade of her life. "Kim’s heart is in the work she’s doing with prison reform and her goals for this next decade really center around the work she wants to do to make changes to the laws. This decade will be all about creating her legacy,” a source told HollywoodLife exclusively.
