Kanye West rudely stormed and interrupted Taylor Swift's 2009 VMAs speech and when asked why he did that he put it on the Lord, but now we know why he's putting it on the God!

We have come a long way from when the rapper Kanye West, 43, jumped on the stage and interrupted Taylor Swift's, 30, acceptance speech. It's been 11 years and we just know now about why Kanye demanded the Best Female Video award to go to Beyoncé instead of Taylor Swift. "The Life of Pablo" hitmaker blamed it on God for seating him on the front row which made it easier for him to act upon his impulse. Ye also claimed that he couldn't digest the fact that Taylor, who he'd never heard of before beat Beyoncé's “Single Ladies” video.

“Right now, God is giving me the information,” the rapper told Nick Cannon on Cannon’s Class podcast on Sept. 1. “If God ain’t want me to run on stage and say Beyoncé had the best video, he wouldn’t have sat me in the front row. I would’ve been sitting in the back.” Clearly, that wouldn't have happened as he was the biggest star at that time and the top tier talent are always in the front row. You can watch it in the video above.

Kanye said that he hadn't heard of Taylor before and he was not okay with her accepting the award for the music video of her song “You Belong To Me,” when he felt like Beyoncé's "Single Ladies" was the deserving one. “They wouldn’t have made it the first award. It’s so ridiculous of an idea because, I had never heard of this person [Taylor] before, and ‘Single Ladies’ is, like, one of the greatest videos of all time,” Kanye said.

We have also been filled with the fact that he was drinking Hennessy straight from the bottle from the rd carpet but now he claims that it was all a “set-up.” “And I was only drinking Hennessy because I didn’t want to go to the awards show because it was a set-up,” Kanye explained to Nick. With Kanye just saying God wanted him there and now this, we don't know which one is!

Taylor was deeply shocked by that infamous moment in her career which she documented via a diary entry. She revealed it in Aug 2019 with the release of the deluxe edition of her album Lover. “Ahh… the things that can change in a week. If you had told me that one of the biggest stars in music was going to jump on stage and announce that he thought I shouldn’t have won on live television, I would’ve said, ‘That stuff doesn’t really happen in real life,'” Taylor added, “Well…apparently…It does.” The two artists have been feuding ever since.
