The Weeknd's fans are convinced his new video "Snowchild" is about Selena Gomez

The Weeknd released the music video for his song "Snowchild" and the fans started tweeting about the music video being about his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez and also the fact that it was dropped on her birthday.

Canadian singer, songwriter, and record producer, The Weeknd, 30 just dropped the music video for his song "Snowchild" which the fans are assuming to be about his ex-girlfriend Selena Gomez, 28. In addition to the release date, there are various clues in the lyrics and the video feature that made it clear that he is referring it to his relationship with the brunette beauty.

At the beginning of the video, many balloons are seen which the fans are claiming to be about Selena's birthday. One of his fans tweeted, “he released this song on selena’s birthday (today) which is referenced from pretty much the first scene,” and also shared the screenshot of the balloons in the video alongside Selena's picture surrounded by blue and white balloon from one of her past birthdays. The same fan tweeted that the animated version of The Weeknd does a "double take" on the animated version of a girl who's wearing the same hairstyle as Selena wore before. The tweet read, “he did a double take at someone who wears her hair very similarly to selena (she’s also wearing his jacket in the second pic).” Another user also stated about Selena mentioning "Snowchild" to be her favorite song from his album "After Hours" and she even added it to her "Cooking Together" Spotify playlist back in April which gives the fans a hint that the music video is about her. “Today is selena’s bday and she mentioned before that her fav song from the album is snowchild.. Abel i got you.. And also he liked his picture with her on insta recently..,” the tweet read. 

This isn't the first time that the fans are guessing who The Weeknd's song and music video being referred to as the lyrics about a 'chrome heart' necklace from his album "After Hours" dropped multiple references to his other ex Bella Hadid.
