Chhapaak has been declared tax-free movie in Madhya Pradesh of India because this movie is based on the real story of acid attack survivor and her name is Laxmi Agarwal who had faced all these problems but she standing still till now and enjoying her life now.

And the chief minister of Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath posted on twitter by saying"Deepika Padukone's film on acid attack survivor, Chhapaak is releasing across the country on January 10. I declare it tax-free in Madhya Pradesh," by posting this statement he tries to tell people that humanities still lives and we all are with you survivours and again he had tweeted," This film which spreads a positive message regarding the treatment of acid-attack victims in the society, tells the story of their courage struggle and their passion for life and aims to bring a change in the society's mentally on the same".

And according to the latest information on chhapaak Deepika visited Jawaharlal Nehru University to express solidarity with protesting students and show promote her movie but in the last, all the social media and few BJP leaders are also asking to boycott this movie.
And many Bollywood star and fans of Deepika like union minister Prakash Javadekar said "this is a democratic country, anyone any artist can go anywhere and put forth his or her view," he said this while speaking to the reporters in Delhi.
