MATCH OF THE DAY: BAYERN TO VISIT ANFIELD TO FACE LIVERPOOL

LIVERPOOL WILL WELCOME BAYERN MUNCHEN AT ANFIELD FOR THE 1ST LEG OF UCL GAME ON 19TH FEBRUARY

TWO EUROPEAN GIANTS WILL GO HEAD TO HEAD ON THE 1ST LEG OF UCL AS BOTH TEAM WILL BE HOPING FOR THE EUROPEAN SUCCESS THIS TIME AROUND

Two heavyweights attacking team will go against each other on Tuesday night as Bayern travels to Anfield to face agonist Liverpool for the 1st leg of Round of 16 match. The result of tonights match might turn out to be crucial before heading to the 2nd leg.

Talking about the squad, key center-back Virjil Van Dijk for Liverpool and Thomas Muller for Bayern will be out of the match due to suspension. Further talking about absentees Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Joe Gomez, Dejan lovern and Xherdan Shaqiri might be out from the Liverpool squad as for Bayern Munchen; Corentin Tolisso, Arjen Robben and Jerome Boateng are out fue to injury.

In the match there might be several battles in each position which might turn out to be crucial. David Alaba vs Mohammad Salah; Kingsley Koman vs Trent Alexander Arnold and Georginio Wijnaldum vs Thiago Alacantara will be the battle to watch.

Talking about the facts Bayern have just one match out of 7  in their meeting with Liverpool in European Competition (D4 L2) and even the worst part is they haven't scored against Liverpool at Anfield in their last three meetings. Putting the icing on the cake for Liverpool: the better news is that they haven't lost at Anfield in their last 19 matches (W14 D5). The only posivite aspect for Bayern can be seen as their goalscoring machine Robert Lewandowski is the top scorer of this year UCL with 8 goals and he will be hoping to score for 5 games in a row for the 1st time in this competition.
