Kim Kardashian is embracing the Halloween spirit in her Hidden Hills home, sharing a glimpse into her festive preparations.
The 43-year-old reality TV star recently took to social media to show off some homemade cupcakes she and her children baked in anticipation of the spooky season. Proudly posting a photo of the beige cupcakes on her Instagram Stories, she captioned it, "Baked with the kids last night."

This innocent and sweet post, however, comes in the wake of some playful family banter between Kim and her eldest daughter, North West, which revealed an amusing detail about Kim's kitchen habits. Earlier in the week, during a video chat for *Interview* magazine, North, 11, candidly admitted that her mom hasn’t been in the kitchen much in recent years. Kim, known more for her busy career and glamorous lifestyle than her culinary skills, asked North about her cooking, sparking the lighthearted conversation. “Okay, serious question. How is my cooking?” Kim asked with curiosity, eager to hear her daughter’s response.

Without hesitation, North responded, “You haven’t cooked for us in a long time. Last time you cooked was two Halloweens ago.” That would place the last meal Kim made around October 2022, marking quite a gap between home-cooked meals from the reality TV star. North, continuing to give details, revealed that Kim’s last homemade meal was a Southern classic: macaroni and cheese. Kim chimed in to add more to the story, recalling that the meal also included fried chicken and cornbread. "I'm a one-trick pony," Kim humorously admitted, noting that this is one of her go-to dishes.
When asked if it was a good meal, North graciously affirmed, saying it was “good,” showing that despite the infrequency of Kim’s cooking, it still made a positive impression on her children. North also playfully teased her mother about another signature dish in their household: cucumbers with salt. According to North, Kim excels at preparing this simple snack, suggesting that while her mother might not be the most prolific cook, she still has a few tricks up her sleeve when it comes to feeding her family.

Kim’s Halloween-themed activities didn’t stop with baking cupcakes. On the same day, she shared another fun holiday-related post, this time showing off a custom-made Halloween gingerbread house. The spooky house, which is a creation of the Solvang Bakery, featured her and her four children’s names—North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm—on it. The bakery, located in the charming town of Solvang just north of Santa Barbara, is known for its holiday-themed creations, and this particular Halloween house, priced at around $1,200, didn’t disappoint.
