Initially, at the time of her son's birth, the 39-year-old had listed his name as "Baby Kardashian" on his birth certificate, as she had not yet made a final decision regarding his moniker. However, according to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the couple has recently completed the legal process to change their child's name.
A Los Angeles county judge, in a ruling on Thursday, approved the name change for their now 13-month-old son. This official decree now recognizes him as Tatum Thompson. Under California law, new parents have the flexibility to choose whether their child will carry the father's last name, the mother's last name, or a combination of both.
