Khloe Kardashian, the reality star and founder of Good American, recently celebrated her son Tatum Robert's first birthday on July 28, but her extravagant party has garnered criticism from fans.

In an Instagram Story, Khloe posed with her private chef, Khristianne Uy, also known as Chef K, donning a white ensemble and showing off her cleavage while her cook displayed her neck tattoos. The reality star proudly shared how she "treated my son's birthday as if we were in outer space," with everything done in theme and heat. Khloe even mentioned, "We want to be on the moon where it's a bit colder." However, the comments section quickly filled with critics questioning the out-of-touch display of wealth. One critic expressed their exasperation, stating, "A chef for a one-year-old? It's getting old."

Another pointed out, "Grown-ups have to eat too, you know," while a third critic questioned the necessity of such grandeur for a child who wouldn't remember the occasion. This isn't the first time Khristianne Uy has been involved in preparing lavish treats for the Kardashian family. In the past, she made gluten-free and vegan treats for the 10th birthday party of Penelope Disick, the daughter of Kourtney Kardashian, and homemade animal cookies at sister Kim Kardashian's rental mansion in Lake Tahoe. Despite the criticism, Khloe shared heartwarming throwback photos of Tatum with his older sister, True Thompson, who is five years old. In one adorable snapshot, True lovingly wrapped her arms around her baby brother, who smiled at the camera.

Khloe expressed her joy and gratitude for Tatum's presence in their lives, noting the strong bond between the siblings. Tatum's father, Tristan Thompson, who shares him with Khloe, also celebrated the occasion by sharing adorable snapshots of himself with the toddler. In the photos, Tristan can be seen holding Tatum, both wearing sunglasses and smiling at the camera. The love between father and son was evident, as Tatum placed his tiny hand on his father's cheek. Tristan's heartfelt caption expressed how much his son means to him and how Tatum serves as a reminder of the lessons life has taught him. While celebrations and love for a child are understandable, some fans couldn't help but feel that the extravagant first birthday party seemed excessive and out of touch.
