It's been nearly a year since Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson called it quits, and now the SKIMS founder is opening up about what led to their split during the highly anticipated season three premiere of "The Kardashians."

During the May 25 episode, Kardashian candidly addressed her breakup with the "Saturday Night Live" comedian in a confessional interview. With a straightforward tone, she stated, "OK, I'm single. I'm single, and I'm not ready to mingle, and that's OK."

Scott Disick, another cast member, also probed Kardashian about her feelings regarding the breakup, especially since it marked her first significant split since her divorce from Kanye West. Though she didn't mention Davidson by name, Kardashian responded, "Breakups are just not my thing... I'm proud of myself."

She went on to explain that she and Davidson had numerous discussions leading up to the decision, emphasizing their excellent communication. While acknowledging the sadness that accompanied the split, the 42-year-old mentioned that she isn't one for "random hookups" and prefers long-term relationships, like her nine-month romance with Davidson.
Kardashian also alluded to the headlines generated by her ex's comments about her and Davidson. She expressed feelings of guilt and recognized that Davidson had experienced challenges due to their relationship. In moments of self-doubt, she wondered who would want to date her, considering she has four children and is in her 40s. However, she eagerly awaits finding someone who will reassure her and tackle the challenges together.

At the time of their breakup in August, insiders revealed that Kardashian and Davidson had a deep love and respect for each other. However, the challenges of a long-distance relationship played a significant role in their decision. Davidson was filming the movie "Wizards!" in Australia, while Kardashian resided in Calabasas, making it difficult to maintain their connection.
