After the successful seven seasons of the political thriller television series 'Scandal' in ABC is set to have an end to the show and be the final series of the season.

Although ABC has not yet confirmed and gave an official announcement for the more information of the series 'Scandal'. But, the network is expected to announce the news at next week's upfront presentation that the show will end with its previously announced seventh season.

'Scandal' is an American political thriller television series. The series stars Kerry Washington as the lead actor. The series created by Shonda Rhimes was debuted on ABC on April 5, 2012. Kerry Washington's character, Olivia Pope, is partially based on former George H.W. Bush administration press aide Judy Smith, who serves as a co-executive producer.

Scandal this season has been averaging 5.7 million total viewers and a 1.5 demo rating, down 20 and 30 percent from Season 4 and hitting series lows (5.1 mil/1.2) as recently as April 6. In its sixth season the ABC Studios drama is averaging a 3.7 among the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic and 11.1 million total viewers with seven days of delayed viewing.
