Front man of The Heartbreaks Tom Petty died at the age of 66

The tragic death of front man of the legend band The Heartbreakers, Tom Petty at the age of 66 has been confirmed by longtime manager Tony Dimitriades which has broken the hearts of many fans with this tragic news.

Tom Petty, 66, the front man of the Rock band The Heartbreaks has died. The long time manager Tony Dimitriades has informed Buzzfeed that the legend has left his life surrounded by family, friends and band mates on Monday night (October 2) at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.

In the statement manager Tony Dimitriades released to Buzzfeed, he said, “On behalf of the Tom Petty family we are devastated to announce the untimely death of our father, husband, brother, leader and friend Tom Petty,”. He further added “He suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu in the early hours of this morning and was taken to UCLA Medical Center but could not be revived. He died peacefully at 8:40 p.m. PT surrounded by family, his bandmates and friends.”
