Netflix Confirms Season 2 of Selena Gomez's "13 Reason's Why" As Mental Health Awareness Begins

Although the series of the season "13 Reasons Why" has been the most talked about series like in both positive and most controversial way, the Netflix has now confirmed for the season 2 of the series as the beginning of the Mental Health Awareness Week.

The series of the season "13 Reasons Why" both among the teens for their interesting topic related to their age whereas to the parents and school authorities for their fear of getting manipulated by the show to suicide has now another season to be coming. The series, which follows the aftermath of the teenager Hannah Baker’s suicide, will return with 13 episodes in 2018.

As per the streaming site's official logline, season two "picks up in the aftermath of Hannah Baker's (played by Katherine Langford) death and the start of the characters' complicated journeys toward healing and recovery."

Although there has been a much controversy in this sensitive topic of teenage suicide which has resulted in education management to aware parents for restricting the show. Following the criticism, Netflix defended the series telling ABC News in a statement: “From the onset of work on 13 Reasons Why, we have been mindful both of the show's intense themes and the intended audience.” So, we can hope that the coming up seasons will not effect the audience's mental and emotional health.


The controversial drama "13 Reasons Why", is based on Jay Asher's 2007 novel which follows the cassette of Hannah Baker's suicide and its reasons.
