My
General Overview:
The reason for choosing childhood education and care fields
for my career development is not a hasty decision. My interest started
developing since my early age. As an ambitious spirit, I became interested to
know how the children learn and develop. I have always been driven by the
compassion to contribute in positive way to the society. I believe that there
comes a point in everyone’s life to make efforts to change his/her thought into
a reality. I have always inspired by mother Teressa. I live in Nepal. I was
born and brought up in Kathmandu. Nepal is developing country as for developing
what matter the most is one’s thought along with skilled manpower.

INTRODUCTION:
FAMILY BACKGROUND
It is my immense pleasure to have this opportunity to express
about my past, present and future concerning my academic achievements and
aspirations. This statement of purpose depicts my educational background, my
future educational plans and its relevancy to support my long term academic
goals.
“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”. My
parent permanent resident of Jhapardi-04, Gaindakot, Nawalparasi, Nepal. I’ve
recently completed my +2 from Gorkha International Public Higher Secondary
School. Throughout the years, I have always been living with my family which I
consider myself as a lucky one to have family which I consider myself as a
education.
My father in law is a hotel manager. My mother in law looks
after the hotel business and generates income from house rent and My husband
works at National Electric Trading respectively in Kathmandu, Nepal. My sponsor
is from Spouse side. And they are eager to accompany me emotionally and
financially for the further studying in Australia, with the confidence of my
academic appearance. I tied up my marriage bond with my husband on 1st December
2015.
My husband
is part of my life. He supports me in every single step. Therefore, for my
future they decided me to go to Australia. My entire education and living
expenses will be financed by my father in law, mother in law, husband income as
well as our income from land rent and house rent.
ACADEMIC
AND PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
My first priority in my life is knowledge and study along
with pursuing my academic dreams and aspirations. I have tried my best in it
throughout my study years. I would like to explain a brief about my
achievements. I had completed my school leaving certificate ( year 10) from
Bigyan English Boarding School, Kathmandu with 80.62 % in the year of 2014.
After passing SLC I planned to join Science with pure Biology stream then
finally I completed my +2 (year 12) from Gorkha International Public Higher
Secondary School, Ghorahi, Dang with additional Math, English, Physics, Nepali
and chemistry from Higher Secondary Examination board (HSEB) with first
division 61.60% in 2016. As I am a student of science background. I was
interested to study child care from my childhood. On top of that, to achieve
quality and establish myself as a student of childhood education and care. I
decided to pursue international degree and for that I started IELTS preparation
class. I undertake the IELTS examination on 3rd September 2016.
WHY AUSTRALIA
Australia
has always been my first priority to study. Apart from being a great place to
get worldwide accepted education, it is also an outstanding place to live.
There is not only one reason why I choose Australia, but due to various factors
I decided to study there. Australia has more to offer to international students
in terms of education opportunities and industry relevant courses. Australia
has a diverse mutli-cultural environment which will help student to know
different culture, religion and people around the world. It is one of the top
countries in the world which provides all sorts of knowledge and experiences to
internal students. Based on my research over the internet and recommendation
from friends, family and experts I have to come to realize that Australia is
one of the safest destination for international students.
Australia
also provides 2 years of post-work study time for students to get further
industrial exposure, exposure, experience letter, reference of their related
field after the completion of the study. It also ensures refund of the fees
paid to colleges in cases where we couldn’t attend the university. The
education system of Australia is based on ESOS Framework which protects the
right of international students.
One of the
prior reasons for choosing Australia for my further studies over other
countries is that it is the best-suited destination for international students
like me in the context of tuition fees, climate and overall expenses. Student
studying in Australia is allowed to work up to 20 hours per week while they are
studying in Australia. This is a great opportunity for students who want to
earn money to help with living expenses during their stay and for the students
who wants to gain work experience in their field of interest.
Institutions in Australia offer a wide variety of courses and
degree. So, I have been able to easily find the colleges and right field for
me. Furthermore, Australia is at the forefront of new technology and
innovations I would be able to take advantage of the country’s impression
technology and research resources increasing my expertise and be able to apply
in Nepalese context once I return back.
WHY UNIVERSITY PREPARATION COLLEGE (UPS)
After deciding to study early childhood education and care in
Australia I also researched on different colleges and universities like New Era
Institute, University Preparation College. Australian Institute of Business and
Technology (AIBT). I find the UPC the best one for me because it provides
different kind of facilities and services which are not only good but also
highly appreciated by student. Although all degree are equally valid in Nepal
and equally recognized but still demand and recognition pattern of UPC degrees
are found a bit higher in Nepal in Montessori School. UPC provides the best
possible study experience equipped with multi face academic opportunities and
with the world class teaching-learning processes. On comparison with other
colleges UPC hosts faculty members that are highly qualified professionals with
years of experience who’d undoubtedly provide best possible knowledge in every
sector they teach. It offers affordable fees and also provides access to a variety
of scholarships to the deserving candidates. UPC has outstanding educational
opportunities that will enable me to achieve my best as it provides in depth
knowledge of childhood education and care. My decision to study in UPC has been
emphasized by my desire to pursue quality education.
Comparing
with other colleges like Australian institute of Business and Technology(AIBT),
same courses is delivered in 7 months for certificate III in early childhood
education and care fee is 22,800 AUD. Similarly New Era Institute delivered
course on 126 weeks for 21050 AUD.
WHY CERTIFICATE III DIPLOMA OF EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND
CARE
Choosing a particular career line is a crucial decision,
hence, every aspect of the career one is about to choose should be thoroughly
understood. It demands proper planning and understanding rather brings
unexpected outcomes. So, one most be careful while making decisions as one
wrong decision can negatively affect the career path. Keeping this in light, I
took almost 2 months to explore different courses and came up with decision for
certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and care as it best
suits my interest and I believe it will make my knowledge in the subject more
empirical and specific.
I have
always been keen interested in Childhood Education and Care Study. A childhood
studies develops specific skills and knowledge. Around the subject of how
children learn and develop. I will learn and develop about the history and
culture of childhood as well as the major theories of social, emotional and
cognitive development. We can further our learning through realistic field
experience. This placement enables students to consolidate our skills under the
supervision of qualified practitioners which assists us to be work ready after
graduation.

VISA (SUB CLASS 500)
This visa
allows me to stay in Australia to study full time in a recognized education institution.
If granted.
a) I can work up to 40 hours per
fortnight and unlimited hours during scheduled course breaks.
b) I must maintain overseas student
health cover (OSHC) policy for the full duration of visa.
c) I must maintain satisfactory (80%)
attendance in my course as per education provider.
d) Any change in circumstances i.e
address, status etc should be notified to education provider immediately.
e) At least 50% of subjects should be
passed.
